Eastern Antioquia hosts II Regional MIPG Forum on public management
The II Regional MIPG Forum, titled ‘Un Reto de Región’, was held in Eastern Antioquia to analyze public administration progress, focusing on transparency, institutional efficiency, and the use of new technologies. The event was organized by the Rionegro Mayor's Office in coordination with Asointermedias and the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Antioquia.
During the forum, results from the 2025 Institutional Performance Index (IDI) were presented. Rionegro achieved a historic score of 94.0%, ranking fourth in the department of Antioquia and sixth nationally within its category. Consequently, Rionegro received the award for ‘Leadership in MIPG Policy Management.’
Other municipalities were also recognized, including La Unión for ‘Greatest Institutional Transformation.’ The forum also highlighted the management strengths of El Carmen de Viboral, La Ceja, Marinilla, El Retiro, Guarne, El Peñol, and Guatapé. Local leaders emphasized the importance of benchmarking and sharing best practices to strengthen regional governance and protect public resources.
