EasyJet expands service to Nuremberg Airport

British low-cost carrier EasyJet has added Nuremberg Airport to its network, launching new direct flight connections during the winter season. The first flight, arriving from Manchester, landed on Monday, marking the start of the airline's seasonal operations.

According to the airline and airport officials, the expansion includes routes to London Gatwick starting November 19, London Luton from November 23, and Milan Malpensa from November 27. These flights are scheduled to operate between two and four times per week through the end of March.

The decision to serve Nuremberg during the winter months is driven by high international demand from the Christkindlesmarkt and major trade fairs, such as the Nuremberg International Toy Fair. EasyJet representative Stephan Erler noted that the city's tourism and exhibition potential were key factors in the decision. The airline will evaluate the success of these routes before determining if they will be offered again in future seasons.
