Travelers reported receiving cancellation notices on the night of Monday, August 24. While some passengers managed to secure alternative routes through travel agencies in Portugal—including one group that rerouted through London—others remain on the island of Boa Vista.

Passengers have expressed frustration regarding a lack of communication and official information from EasyJet. Some travelers are currently staying in hotels on the island, with some reports indicating that individuals are facing difficulties accessing essential medications for conditions such as diabetes and hypertension. While there is unofficial speculation regarding a potential return flight on September 1, no official date for return to Portugal has been confirmed.
