EasyJet flight diverted to Brussels leaves passengers to arrange own transport

An EasyJet flight carrying 160 passengers from Milan to Amsterdam was diverted to Brussels in July 2026 due to air traffic control delays and the Amsterdam Schiphol Airport curfew. After the aircraft arrived in Brussels, passengers faced further delays during disembarkation and required multiple shuttle bus trips to reach the terminal.

At approximately 00:40, EasyJet notified passengers via SMS and app that they were responsible for arranging their own transport to Amsterdam at reasonable prices. Due to the lack of available airport assistance during those hours, some passengers pooled their funds to rent a private minivan for over 600 euros, eventually reaching Amsterdam by train around 03:00. The airline has denied compensation requests, citing the airport curfew and traffic control issues.
