EasyJet France cabin crew call for strike over working conditions

Cabin crew at EasyJet France have called for a strike this coming Saturday and Sunday, potentially disrupting travel during the August 15 weekend. The industrial action follows the failure of discussions between the airline's management and a coalition of three unions: SNPNC-FO, UNPNC-CFDT, and UNAC-CFE-CGC.

The unions cited a “continuous degradation” of working conditions, specifically highlighting issues such as unstable scheduling, last-minute changes, demanding flight rotations, and a lack of protective measures. They stated that the company has failed to provide “any concrete and acceptable proposal” to address these demands.

EasyJet has characterized the strike call as “opportunistic” given the busy holiday period, asserting that they have submitted “adjustment proposals” to address the staff's concerns. While the unions expressed a willingness to resume discussions, they maintained that any resulting flight cancellations or disruptions are the sole responsibility of the airline.
