easyJet sees 177% rise in over-50 flight attendants in Italy

The number of easyJet flight attendants over the age of 50 in Italy has increased by 177%, rising from 70 in 2022 to 194 in 2026. This growth reflects a trend toward long-term career paths within the airline.

The majority of these experienced crew members are based at Milan Malpensa, which hosts 153 of the 194 staff members. Other distributions include 17 at Milan Linate, 16 in Naples, and 8 at Rome Fiumicino. The demographic shows a near-equal gender balance, with 102 women and 92 men.

To support these long-term careers, easyJet utilizes its Training Centre in Milan Malpensa, which was inaugurated in 2019. The facility serves as the airline’s primary European training hub, training over 8,000 pilots and crew members annually. In the 2026 financial year, the center trained 1,732 flight attendants.
