Eaton to acquire COL Group for 810 million euros

Eaton COL Group acquisition medium voltage data centers

Eaton has announced an agreement to acquire COL Group from Oaktree’s ‘Power Opportunities’ portfolio for an enterprise value of 810 million euros. The acquisition is intended to expand Eaton’s production capacities and expertise in medium-voltage power distribution across Europe.

The deal aims to address growing demand within the data center and utility sectors in the EMEA region. COL Group specializes in medium-voltage solutions, including SF6-free switchgear, grid automation technologies, and modular power supply systems. COL Group has projected a revenue of 250 million euros for 2027.

The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2027, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
