EAV bus services resume in Naples following fuel shortage

Public transport services managed by EAV are resuming across various regions in Italy following a severe diesel shortage. The fuel crisis, triggered by a regional protest by hauliers, had previously forced the suspension of many bus lines and essential services like waste collection.

As of October 24, 2026, bus services in Vico Equense, Agnano, Comiziano, Torre Annunziata, and Procida have returned to regular schedules. While most areas are recovering, Ischia faces a more gradual restart, with specific lines scheduled to resume between October 26 and October 27.

Fuel availability is also improving on the Naples Tangenziale, though three service areas—Agnano Ovest, Agnano Est, and Doganella—report they are still without fuel. Authorities advise commuters to monitor official channels for real-time updates as the network works toward full normalization by October 27.
