eBay to host American fashion retrospective and auction

To coincide with the start of New York Fashion Week, eBay is launching ‘Endless Runway: The Archive’, a retrospective event celebrating four decades of American fashion history. In partnership with the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), the initiative features an immersive exhibition of over 150 rare archival pieces curated by stylist Carlos Nazario.

The exhibition explores various eras of American design, including the 1970s, the rise of sportswear, and 1990s minimalism. A central component of the event is an eBay Live auction hosted by Jenna Lyons, which will feature archival designs from prominent fashion houses such as Calvin Klein Collection, Michael Kors Collection, Tommy Hilfiger, Vera Wang, and Proenza Schouler.

Proceeds from the eBay Live auction will benefit the CFDA. The event aims to connect collectors with significant historical garments, including pieces from designers such as Ralph Lauren, Marc Jacobs, and Tom Ford.
