Ebermannstadt Volunteer Fire Department commissions new TLF 4000 vehicle

The Ebermannstadt Volunteer Fire Department has officially commissioned its new TLF 4000 tank firefighting vehicle. The vehicle, which cost approximately 570,000 euros, includes a 165,000 euro subsidy from the Free State of Bavaria. The new equipment is intended to improve water supply during fires within the Franconian Switzerland region.

The ceremony also served as a farewell for Franz-Josef Hetz, who retired as District Fire Chief after 31 years of service. Local officials, including Mayor Christiane Meyer and Deputy District Administrator Otto Siebenhaar, attended the event to recognize Hetz's long-term commitment and the importance of proactive equipment procurement for regional fire protection.
