Ebon Moss-Bachrach in talks to join Michael Mann’s Heat 2
Ebon Moss-Bachrach is in final negotiations to join the cast of Michael Mann’s Heat 2, according to reports from TheWrap. The Emmy-winning actor, known for The Bear and The Fantastic Four: First Steps, is set to reprise the role of Kelso, a character originally played by the late Tom Noonan in the 1995 classic.
Kelso, a former DARPA researcher and hacker, serves as a vital information source for the heist plot. While the role was smaller in the original film, the upcoming production—which serves as both a sequel and a prequel—is based on Mann’s 2022 novel and is expected to offer the character more depth across different timelines.
Moss-Bachrach joins a high-profile ensemble that includes Leonardo DiCaprio as Chris Shiherlis, Christian Bale as Vincent Hanna, and Stephen Graham as a young Neil McCauley. Other cast members include Odessa Young, Maria Cid, and Jason Clarke. Production for the Amazon MGM Studios project is scheduled to begin in November.
