Ebonyi Governor warns local chairmen to secure APC victory in 2027

Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru has issued a directive to the 13 newly sworn-in local government chairmen, warning that their continued tenure depends on their ability to secure the state for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections.

During a ceremony at the Christian Ecumenical Centre in Abakaliki, Nwifuru instructed the chairmen to consolidate the APC’s presence at the grassroots and to take a tough stance against opposition parties. He stated that the administration would monitor performance closely and would not hesitate to take action against officials who fail to meet expectations or demonstrate political loyalty.

The governor emphasized that the officials must implement the party’s manifesto and ensure that development reaches local communities. He warned that the administration would not leave any local government positions to opposition parties, aiming for a 100 per cent victory for the APC in upcoming elections.
