Ebrima Tunkara to miss six weeks with ankle injury

FC Barcelona has confirmed that 16-year-old academy prospect Ebrima Tunkara will be sidelined for approximately six weeks due to an injury. The player sustained a traumatic ligament injury to his left ankle during a match against CF Vilanova.

Tunkara, a standout talent from La Masia, recently participated in pre-season training with the senior team and was expected to split time between the first-team setup and the reserve side, Barça Atlètic. The injury will cause him to miss the start of the reserve team's season, with a projected return in October. Additionally, the setback has impacted his international availability, as he was replaced in the Spain U-18 squad by teammate Michal Zuk.
