EC-KAC sees mixed Champions Hockey League results

In the Champions Hockey League, Austrian club EC-KAC experienced mixed results. Following an initial 2-1 overtime victory against the French side Bordeaux, the team suffered a 1-3 home defeat against the Swiss champions, Fribourg-Gotteron.

During the match against Fribourg-Gotteron, KAC held a lead through Raphael Herburger before a single two-minute penalty against Simeon Schwinger led to a rapid collapse. Due to specific CHL power play rules, the opposition scored three goals within 67 seconds, with Jonas Taibel scoring twice and Jacob de la Rose adding one.

Other Austrian teams also saw varied outcomes. Red Bull Salzburg secured a 3-0 win over Czech team Bili Tygri Liberec, while Moser Medical Graz 99ers lost their second home game to Bordeaux.
