EC Vitória signs midfielder Walace on loan from Cruzeiro

Brazilian Serie A club EC Vitória announced the loan signing of midfielder Walace from Cruzeiro until the end of the 2026 season. Walace, who made only one appearance for Cruzeiro this year and was excluded from the team's Libertadores debut after a disciplinary incident, will bolster Vitória's midfield as the club prepares for the second half of the campaign.

The move follows Vitória's recent Copa do Nordeste triumph and a short training break. The team sits 13th in the league with 22 points, two places above the relegation zone, and has upcoming matches against Vasco, Botafogo, Remo and Palmeiras. Vitória also has a transfer window open until 11 September to further adjust its squad.
