Ecatepec authorities recover stolen official vehicle and auto parts

Authorities in Mexico have recovered a stolen official vehicle and a large cache of stolen auto parts following a coordinated operation in Ciudad Cuauhtémoc, Ecatepec. The incident began when four armed individuals intercepted a Nissan NP Frontier belonging to the Jaltenco water organization, ODAPAST, near the AIFA highway in Tonanitla.

The victim was forced from the vehicle and abandoned in an ejido area, but the truck's GPS allowed security forces, including the Special Operations Group (GOES), Metropolitan Police, and the Navy, to track the unit to the La Magdalena I area.

During the raid on a property, officers intercepted a suspect attempting to flee with various license plates. Inside the premises, police found the Nissan Frontier already stripped of parts, along with a signal jammer and numerous stolen components, including doors, steering wheels, engines, and truck beds. Several other vehicles with mismatched or stolen plates were also seized at the scene.
