Ecatepec distributes over 1,500 hearing aids to residents

The municipal government of Ecatepec has distributed 1,560 hearing aids to vulnerable residents through the program ‘Ecatepec te escucha. Sonidos que cambian vidas’. The initiative exceeded its original goal of 1,200 devices due to high demand.

Mayor Azucena Cisneros Coss led the event, stating that the devices provide the possibility of a functional life, allowing children to attend school and adults to work. The distribution included children, adolescents, adults, and senior citizens. Edith Muñoz Jurado, head of DIF Ecatepec, emphasized that the program aims to ensure no one is left behind and that all citizens can participate fully in community and family life.

Due to the high volume of requests, the municipal administration confirmed that the registration process for the program will reopen next year.
