Echodyne and ACS partner to advance counter-drone technology

Echodyne and ACS have entered into a strategic collaboration agreement to accelerate the development, demonstration, and deployment of integrated counter-unmanned aircraft systems (C-UAS) solutions globally.

The partnership integrates Echodyne’s EchoShield high-performance commercial radar with ACS’s Bullfrog robotic weapon station. This synergy combines precise radar tracking and continuous airspace position data with computer vision and autonomous control. The goal is to enable the detection, tracking, identification, and neutralization of unmanned aerial threats for both land and maritime missions.

The collaboration follows recent contract awards to both companies by the Joint Interagency Task Force 401 (JIATF-401) for initiatives such as the Domestic Shield program and the JIATF-401 C-UAS Marketplace. By utilizing components from civilian supply chains, the technology aims to reduce costs compared to traditional missile-based defense systems.
