Eco Wave Power reports output gains in Israel and project updates in Portugal

Eco Wave Power has reported significant electricity generation increases at its pilot wave energy station in Israel. During April and May, the grid-connected facility at Jaffa Port saw higher peak power outputs during stronger wave conditions. In May, when wave heights reached between 1 and 2 meters, the station generated approximately 1,004 kWh of clean electricity, more than doubling the output from comparable conditions in April. The electricity is exported to Israel’s national grid via a power purchase agreement with the Israel Electric Corporation.

In Portugal, the company’s first megawatt-scale project in Porto is facing delays due to storm damage at the Barra do Douro breakwater. The port authority, APDL, has commenced rehabilitation works on the infrastructure. Eco Wave Power CEO Inna Braverman is scheduled to meet with APDL in mid-August 2026 to coordinate the installation timeline and discuss a requested extension for the grid-connection deadline to align with the infrastructure repairs.
