Ecoinerti quarry expansion dispute addressed by Perugia authorities

Authorities in Perugia have convened an institutional meeting to address the dispute regarding the potential expansion of the Ecoinerti quarry in Gualdo Tadino. The discussions, led by Vice-Prefect Maura Nicolina Perrotta, aim to find a balance between protecting 18 local jobs and mitigating environmental impacts.

Key stakeholders in the dialogue include the President of the Province and Mayor of Gualdo Tadino, Massimiliano Presciutti, representatives from the CISL union, Confindustria Umbria, and the Comunanza Agraria dell’Appennino Gualdese. The Comunanza Agraria is expected to evaluate the company's proposal by mid-October. The urgency of the matter is driven by the upcoming expiration of the company's current concession.
