Ecomondo 2026 to focus on circular economy in Rimini

The 29th edition of Ecomondo, a major exhibition dedicated to the green, blue, and circular economy, is scheduled to take place from November 3 to 6, 2026, at the Rimini Expo Centre in Italy. Organized by the Italian Exhibition Group, the event serves as a platform for international businesses, policymakers, and innovators to discuss environmental sustainability, digitalization, and artificial intelligence.

Comieco, the national consortium for the recovery and recycling of cellulose-based packaging, will play a significant role in the event. Key activities include sessions on the paper and cardboard supply chain, the inauguration of the Paper District, and discussions regarding investments from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). Scheduled highlights include the announcement of the 2027 Paper Recycling Capital and the presentation of the National Paper Recycling Day.

To expand its global footprint, Ecomondo is implementing an international roadshow targeting countries such as Canada, Germany, Hungary, Morocco, and Spain. The exhibition also collaborates with the Italian Trade Agency and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation to facilitate cross-border investment and technology exchange.
