Arapongas police arrest man for domestic violence and false imprisonment

Police in Arapongas arrested a man following a domestic violence incident in the São Cristóvão neighborhood. The arrest occurred after a dispute motivated by jealousy, during which officers discovered the victim was being held in private confinement by her partner.

Upon arrival, authorities found the residence in extreme conditions of unsanitary living. The household included four children and a bedridden elderly woman living in high social vulnerability. The suspect, who reportedly admitted to consuming crack, was taken into custody after his parents intervened to protect the victim.

The local Guardianship Council was called to assist due to the presence of minors and the elderly woman at risk. All adults involved were taken to the 22nd Police Subdivision for legal proceedings.
