Economic initiatives launch to support women's financial independence

Various initiatives and companies are implementing programs to enhance financial independence for women in Africa and India.

In Uganda, the Revolutionary Black Wall Street initiative has launched the System Usher Contractor Programme. This program aims to provide young African women with stable income streams and professional growth opportunities. Participants serve as public information representatives to build community awareness and assist with internal service delivery. The program offers biweekly compensation and performance-based incentives.

In India, several financial institutions are focusing on expanding economic opportunities for women in rural and semi-urban areas. Save Solutions utilizes a Customer Service Point network to provide doorstep banking and micro-ATM services. Annapurna Finance offers microfinance products, including group and individual business loans, alongside financial literacy training. Satin Creditcare Network provides formal credit to women micro-entrepreneurs, while Fusion Finance offers credit specifically designed for women entrepreneurs to start or expand businesses.
