Economic reforms: SME relief in Argentina and new decrees in Cuba

The Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Production of Comodoro Rivadavia and Rada Tilly is proposing a municipal relief program for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), entrepreneurs, and service companies. The initiative, supported by the Patagonian Central Hotel and Gastronomy Business Association, aims to address falling consumption, rising costs, and financial difficulties. Proposed measures include relief on municipal gross income taxes, adjusting payment deadlines to match business cash flows, reviewing supply rates, and establishing special debt regularization plans.

In Cuba, the State Council has approved four new decree laws during an ordinary session led by Esteban Lazo Hernández and President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez. One decree modifies existing laws regarding SMEs, non-agricultural cooperatives, and self-employment to eliminate restrictions and promote business diversity. Another decree establishes mandatory civil liability insurance for all motor vehicle owners operating on public roads and railways within the country.
