Economic survey highlights food prices as primary hardship
An August survey by Özdemir Araştırma reveals significant economic pressures facing citizens, with food prices identified as the primary source of financial difficulty. Approximately 31.7% of respondents reported that food expenses caused the most economic hardship over the past month.
Rent and transportation costs followed as the next most significant burdens, cited by 11.2% and 9.9% of participants, respectively. Utility bills, including electricity, water, and natural gas, were reported by 7.1%, while health and medicine expenses affected 5.7% of those surveyed. Notably, 28.3% of respondents stated they experienced difficulty across all listed categories of expenditure.
