ECOVACS promotes home robotics to reduce domestic labor

Smart home technology, specifically specialized robotics, is increasingly being used to reduce the time spent on domestic labor. In Australia, data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) Time Use Survey indicates that individuals spend approximately four to five hours daily on unpaid domestic tasks, totaling more than 30 days per year.

ECOVACS, a global home robotics company, is positioning its suite of products—including floor-cleaning robots, window cleaners, lawn mowers, and pool cleaners—as a solution for cumulative time savings. David Qian, CEO of ECOVACS, noted that consumers are seeking integrated solutions where multiple specialized robots work in unison to manage different aspects of home maintenance.

At the 2026 Innovation For All (IFA) Berlin technology show, the company showcased advancements in autonomy, such as the integration of Artificial Intelligence with Dual-LiDAR sensors to improve environmental understanding.
