Ecovacs Ultramarine P1 pool robot debuts at €549 with app control
Ecovacs introduced its first battery‑powered pool robot, the Ultramarine P1, priced at €549. The 10.5 kg device is built for pools up to 180 m², runs for about three hours on a 4,600 mAh battery, and delivers a suction rate of 18,200 L per hour. It navigates using an inertial measurement unit (IMU) to optimise cleaning paths and offers three cleaning modes. Two filter baskets – a 180 µm coarse filter and a 3 µm fine filter – handle debris, sand, leaves and algae. The robot lacks a docking station and must be recharged via a cable; it returns to the pool edge but does not rise to the waterline, requiring manual removal.
In testing, the Ultramarine P1 was praised for its straightforward app setup, reliable cleaning of pool floors, walls and waterline, and strong price‑performance value, earning the test’s value‑for‑money award. Critics noted the absence of a charging dock and the less convenient edge‑return compared with higher‑priced models, but concluded it is a solid, affordable option for regularly maintained, moderately sized pools.
