German consumer tests name leading window and pool cleaning robots

IMTEST evaluated seven window‑cleaning robots and placed the Ecovacs Winbot W3 Omni at the top for overall performance, citing its thorough cleaning, easy handling and extensive feature set. The Winbot Mini was highlighted as the best value option despite fewer functions. The review noted the W3 Omni’s four‑minute‑per‑square‑metre cleaning time in fast mode, its strong suction cup safety system and a new cloth‑cleaning function, while also pointing out its €699 price as a drawback.

A separate pool‑robot test examined eleven models for both in‑ground and above‑ground pools ranging from 150 to 500 m². The assessment covered floor, wall and skimmer cleaning capabilities, battery operation and app control. Top performers included the Mova Rover X10, Mova Diver A10, Beatbot AquaSense X and Aiper Scuba V3, each praised for strong cleaning results and user‑friendly features. All tested units were deemed suitable for a variety of pool types, though some models were heavier or lacked automatic docking stations.
