ECR Summer Academy addresses European competitiveness and identity

The European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) Party held its 2026 Summer Academy in Igea Marina, bringing together political figures, administrators, and economic experts to discuss the future of Europe. The event, themed ‘The Strength of Conservative Values for a Renewed Europe’, focused on critical issues including industrial competitiveness, deindustrialization, immigration, border control, and European identity.

Delegations from various Italian regions, including Brescia and Varese, participated in the three-day program. Discussions also addressed the role of new generations in politics, technological innovation, and the space economy. Notable attendees included Carlo Fidanza, head of the Fratelli d'Italia-ECR delegation to the European Parliament, and ECR co-president Patryk Jaki, alongside representatives from Poland, Croatia, Germany, Hungary, and Romania.
