Ecritel obtains SecNumCloud qualification for sovereign cloud services

Ecritel, a French independent cloud hosting and managed services provider, has obtained the SecNumCloud qualification from the National Cybersecurity Agency of France (ANSSI). This certification applies to two managed service offerings: Ecritel Secure Cloud and Ecritel Secure Backup.

Ecritel is the first provider to offer a SecNumCloud-qualified backup solution on the market. The qualification is intended to help organizations, including the public sector, manage the location, security, and resilience of strategic data within a sovereign cloud environment hosted in French datacenters.

The certification follows existing standards held by the company, such as ISO 27001 and ISO 9001, as well as industry-specific certifications like HDS for healthcare and PCI DSS for finance. The new offerings aim to protect sensitive data and enhance resilience against cyber threats, such as ransomware.
