ECU-1000 IoT Gateways Enable Industrial Data Integration

The ECU-1000 series of IoT gateways have been developed to simplify field data acquisition and connectivity for Industrial‑IoT applications. Integrated EdgeLink software provides protocol conversion and seamless cloud platform integration, while the EdgeHub device‑management solution adds remote operation, monitoring and secure maintenance functions.

The gateways support more than 200 PLC drivers and industrial protocols—including Modbus RTU/TCP, OPC UA, IEC‑104, IEC‑61850, DNP3, BACnet and SNMP—and enable bidirectional conversion to modern IT formats such as MQTT, REST API and JSON. Their cloud‑native architecture includes pre‑integrated connectors for AWS, Azure and other major clouds, and local processing features filtering, alarm thresholds and data compression to reduce bandwidth costs. Edge buffering with local storage ensures data continuity during network outages.

Key features include an extended operating temperature range, cybersecurity by design, modular expandability, centralized device management, OTA firmware updates and secure PLC programming over encrypted tunnels. The compact ECU‑150 high‑performance gateway, based on the MX8M platform, adds a quad‑core processor, Linux OS, multiple Ethernet, serial and USB ports, and optional Wi‑Fi, 4G or 5G modules, operating reliably from –40 °C to 70 °C.
