Ecuador commemorates 217 years of independence

Commemorations were held to mark the 217th anniversary of Ecuador’s First Cry of Independence, an event dating back to August 10, 1809.

In Panama, Vice Minister of Multilateral Affairs and Cooperation Carlos Guevara Mann participated in a protocol ceremony at Plaza Bolívar in the Casco Antiguo. Alongside Ecuadorian Ambassador Pascual Del Cioppo and military officials, floral offerings were laid to honor the historical milestone. The event included the national anthems of both Ecuador and Panama and saw participation from various Panamanian security agencies.
