Ecuador hosts third Manabi Book Fair in Manta

The government of President Daniel Noboa, through the Ministry of Education, Sport, and Culture, held the third edition of the “Manabi Lee, Manabi Cuenta” Book Fair in Manta. The event took place at the Manta Cruise Terminal, serving as a platform to promote local editors, writers, and cultural managers.

The fair brought together 30 publishing houses and collectives, 16 Manabi-based writers and poets, universities, and local entrepreneurs. According to Minister Gilda Alcívar, the initiative aims to support the creative economy and provide cultural spaces for families in the province.

Participants included various publishing seals and civil society collectives. The program featured book sales, exchanges, creative writing workshops, and over 20 free performances involving music, dance, theater, and oral traditions.
