Ecuador invests USD 2 million in Manabí university infrastructure

The Ecuadorian national government is investing approximately USD 2 million in a new building for the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences at the Universidad Técnica de Manabí. President Daniel Noboa inspected the construction progress, which aims to provide new classrooms and offices for students across 11 different degree programs.

Minister of Education, Sport, and Culture Gilda Alcívar noted that investments in public higher education in the Manabí province are expanding to include projects in Bahía de Caráquez, Santa Ana, and Chone. The university rector, Santiago Quiroz, stated that these infrastructure improvements are necessary to support a university community that exceeds 47,000 students.
