Ecuador national team to debut special jerseys during Asia tour

The Ecuador national football team will debut two limited-edition jerseys during its upcoming tour in Asia. Developed by Marathon Sports, the special kits are designed to honor the cultural identities of Ecuador and its opponents.

For the match against South Korea at the Suwon World Cup Stadium, the team will wear a white jersey with dark teal details. The design features a symbolic illustration of an Andean condor facing a tiger, representing the national animals of both countries. This match also marks the debut of Marcelo Gallardo as the head coach of the Ecuadorian national team.

For the subsequent match against Japan at the Yokohama International Stadium on October 1, Ecuador will wear a predominantly yellow jersey. This design will feature a confrontation between the condor and a crane, a bird associated with Japanese culture. The jerseys will be available for purchase through Marathon Sports starting September 23.
