Ecuador: 16-year-old TikToker murdered in Pasaje
Police in Pasaje, El Oro province, Ecuador, are investigating the murder of 16-year-old TikTok creator Leslibeth Anahí García Farías. Her severed head was discovered inside a black bag near the César Fadul Coliseum on Saturday, October 24.
Authorities have not yet recovered the remainder of her body. Investigators recovered a threatening note at the scene that appears to target individuals accused of providing information to rival criminal organizations, though police have not confirmed a direct link to the teenager.
A video has circulated online purportedly showing García Farías being threatened with a firearm while speaking to a camera. While the footage has drawn significant attention, officials have not yet verified its authenticity, the timing of the recording, or its direct connection to the homicide.
