Ecuadorian conjoined twins returned home for final farewell
The remains of José Luis and José Armando Cevallos, known as the conjoined twins of Ecuador, have returned to Milagro, Guayas province, to be laid to rest. The brothers passed away on October 15 in Colombia, where they had traveled in April to seek physical therapy in hopes of improving their mobility and ability to walk.
Upon their arrival in Milagro, the brothers were met with a funeral procession and a caravan of family and friends. The local Cantonal Council of San Francisco de Milagro issued a formal expression of condolences to the family, noting that the 27-year-old brothers would be remembered for their unique bond and the international attention their story garnered through social media and television.
A religious memorial service was scheduled for Sunday, October 25, which the family arranged to be broadcast live via their official TikTok account to allow supporters to participate remotely.
