Ecuadorian cuisine gains international recognition
Ecuadorian gastronomy is receiving international recognition through culinary rankings and airline partnerships. The gastronomic platform Taste Atlas has highlighted the 'bolón esmeraldeño' as one of the most delicious versions of this traditional green plantain dish in Ecuador, praising its generous proportions and filling.
In a separate development, Latam Airlines Ecuador has integrated Ecuadorian cuisine into its 'Sabores que Transportan' program. Chef Juan Sebastián Pérez, creator of the restaurant Quitu, has developed a menu based on ingredients from the Sierra, Coast, Amazon, and Galápagos regions. These dishes will be available on selected international flights operated by Latam from Quito and Guayaquil to showcase the country's culinary identity.
