Ecuadorian financial institutions expand credit for housing and transport
Ecuadorian financial institutions are launching new credit initiatives to support the housing and transportation sectors.
Ambiensa has secured financing from the Banco de Desarrollo del Ecuador (BDE) to fund the construction of the Bosquetto 2, Stage 3 residential project. This development is part of La Nueva Ciudad de Guayaquil and covers 50,000 square meters. The project is expected to generate 5,000 jobs and will contribute to a total of 700 homes within the Bosquetto urbanization through combined financing efforts.
Separately, BanEcuador has established strategic cooperation agreements with seven automotive dealerships, including Toyota, Hyundai, and BYD, to promote vehicle fleet renewal. The bank is offering three specific credit lines: BanTransporte for new cargo and passenger units (up to $150,000), Impulso Transporte for maintenance and working capital (up to $20,000), and Nuevo Transporte for heavy fleet renewal (up to $250,000). Since 2023, BanEcuador has allocated $32.7 million to the transport sector.
