Ecuadorian historian Jenny Bolívar found alive in Mexico City

Ecuadorian historian Jenny Kalindy Bolívar Guayacundo has been found alive in Mexico City after being reported missing since August 26. Bertha Alcalde Luján, the Attorney General of Mexico City, confirmed that Bolívar was located in the Huipulco area of the Tlalpan borough on Sunday, September 6.

Following her discovery, Bolívar was transported to a medical facility for evaluation. Authorities stated that her life is not in danger. While her whereabouts were unknown for several days, the specific circumstances regarding her disappearance and subsequent location have not yet been publicly explained by officials.

The investigation previously focused on a residence in the Pedregal de Santo Domingo neighborhood in Coyoacán. During the search, discrepancies emerged regarding the testimony of the property landlord, whose account of when Bolívar left the premises was contradicted by C5 surveillance footage. Prior to her disappearance, Bolívar had expressed fears for her safety in audio messages to a friend following a dispute with her landlord.
