Ecuadorian music culture highlighted through new releases and regional recognition

Ecuadorian musical identity is being promoted through both international urban music releases and domestic cultural honors. The artist ElFavioPues, currently based in the United States, has released a new single titled ‘ECUADOR’. The track is designed to project his national roots and identity within the globalized urban music industry.

In the Tungurahua province, the Casa de la Cultura Ecuatoriana Núcleo de Tungurahua hosted an event to celebrate and preserve the country’s sonic heritage. The ceremony honored academic leaders for their contributions to musical education, specifically recognizing Félix Amancha, rector of the Conservatorio Bolívar de Ambato, and Patricio Acosta, rector of the Conservatorio La Merced. The event featured live performances by artists such as Mathias ‘El Terrible’, Yadhy Navarrete, and Lírika Andina, alongside readings by local poets.
