Ecuadorian music highlighted through new releases and cultural seasons

Ecuadorian musical identity is being highlighted through both contemporary urban releases and traditional seasonal programming. US-based artist ElFavioPues has released a new single titled ‘ECUADOR’, a project designed to project his national roots and identity within the globalized urban music industry.

Simultaneously, the ‘Nuestra Música’ season, organized by the Centro Cultural Mama Cuchara of the Fundación Teatro Nacional Sucre, is showcasing a broad spectrum of the country's sonic landscape throughout October. The program moves beyond the traditional ‘pasillo’ genre to include Andean instruments, choral music, academic compositions, and tributes to figures such as requintist Eduardo ‘Chocolate’ Morales.
