Ecuadorian national intercepted at Lima airport using forged Peruvian identity

An Ecuadorian national, identified as Sergio Manuel Caranqui Daquilema, was intercepted at Jorge Chávez International Airport in Lima while attempting to travel to Spain using forged Peruvian documents.

During exit immigration controls, the individual initially identified himself as Fran Rojas Ramírez, claiming Peruvian nationality. However, inspectors from the National Superintendency of Migrations noticed inconsistencies, including the absence of the alleged holder's signature on the presented passport and DNI.

Following a secondary inspection and data verification involving the National Police of Peru and Ecuadorian authorities, officials confirmed the man's true identity. The forged documents were seized, and the individual was placed at the disposal of the police for investigation. Authorities stated these measures are part of ongoing efforts to combat organized crime, human trafficking, and identity theft.
