Ecuadorian police approval rises to nearly 70% in latest survey

A recent Click Report survey conducted in September 2026 reveals significant shifts in public perception regarding Ecuadorian institutions. The National Police has seen a notable rise in management approval, reaching 69.49%, up from a 30.1% confidence level recorded by Ipsos in 2022. This upward trend in police approval has accelerated recently, rising from 53.09% in January 2026 to its current high.

The Armed Forces hold the highest approval rating at 75.98%. In contrast, political and judicial institutions face low public support. The Council for Public Participation and Social Control (CPCCS) received the lowest approval at 24.38%, followed by the Justice System at 26% and the National Assembly at 28.29%.

Regarding the national outlook, 62.19% of respondents expressed a negative mood concerning Ecuador's situation, with 56.51% predicting that the country's condition will worsen over the next six months. However, personal outlooks remain more optimistic, with 54.99% of citizens expecting their individual situations to improve.
