Ecuadorian practical shooting team heads to Pan American Championship in Aruba
The Ecuadorian practical shooting national team is preparing to compete in the Pan American Championship, which will take place in Aruba from August 26 to 30. The delegation consists of 34 athletes, making it one of the largest groups participating in the continental tournament.
Athletes are conducting final training sessions at the Club Guayas de Tiro y Aviación in Guayaquil. The team is led by Jamaican-American coach and world champion Ron Brown. Notable participants include Galo Moreira, along with Bryan Taibot, Kevin Torres, Plinio León, José Zunino, and Alejandro Taramelli.
Jefferson Pérez, president of the Ecuadorian Olympic Committee (COE), visited the training sessions to motivate the athletes. Roberto Gilbert Febres-Cordero, president of the Ecuadorian Practical Shooting Federation, noted that this marks the first time a COE president has attended a training session for this specific national team.
