Ecuadorian provinces host tourism and trade fairs during holiday period

Various regions in Ecuador, including Tungurahua, Esmeraldas, Imbabura, and Carchi, are hosting commercial fairs, gastronomic events, and tourist activities during the November holiday period.

In Tungurahua, towns such as Ambato, Baños, Cevallos, Patate, and Tisaleo are seeing visitors participate in fairs like the Shuyurco and Mushuc Runa fairs. These events feature local artisans, entrepreneurs, and musical performances. The absence of curfews in the province has facilitated the movement of domestic and international tourists, providing economic opportunities for small merchants to prepare for the December season.

In the northern regions, Esmeraldas, Tulcán, and Cotacachi are promoting local production and tourism. Esmeraldas is hosting a commercial showcase featuring 30 producers of coffee, cacao, and handicrafts, with expectations to attract 5,000 visitors. In Tulcán, authorities have introduced a gastronomic map to promote local food establishments and strengthen regional economic circuits.
