Ecuadorian weightlifters Neisi Dajomes and Angie Palacios secured six gold medals at the South American Weightlifting Championship held in Guayaquil. Both athletes achieved triple championship status by winning gold in the snatch, clean and jerk, and total Olympic categories.

Neisi Dajomes, a Tokyo 2020 Olympic champion, competed in the 86 kg category, lifting 115 kg in the snatch and 150 kg in the clean and jerk for a total of 255 kg. This marked her return to official competition following the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Angie Palacios, a bronze medalist from the Paris 2024 Olympics, competed in the 77 kg category. Her performance included a 108 kg snatch and a 128 kg clean and jerk, totaling 236 kg. This victory follows her return to international competition after a hiatus for maternity leave.
