Ecuador's 41 Best Coffee Shops Announced

The Best Coffee Shop Ecuador released its official 2026 list of the 41 coffee shops that stood out for coffee quality, service and overall experience. More than 300 cafés from the coast, highlands, Amazon and Galápagos were evaluated. Judges conducted on‑site visits that accounted for 70 % of each shop’s score, while public voting contributed the remaining 30 %. The published list does not rank the establishments; it simply names the selected venues. Thirty of the 41 cafés will move on to a South American competition that could lead to participation in the global ranking of the World's 100 Best Coffee Shops.

The selected cafés include Andes Specialty Coffee in Baños de Agua Santa, Atávico in Quito, Atmosférico in Samborondón, Benchtime Coffee Lab in Cumbayá, Broz Tostaduría y Cafetería in Quito, Café Guayasamín in Quito, among many others spread across the country’s major regions.
