Ed Sheeran co‑writes KATSEYE's single 'Animal

Ed Sheeran co‑wrote KATSEYE’s new single “Animal” after hearing the group’s song “Gnarly” while traveling in Mexico. He reached out to the band, and the collaboration was shown in an Instagram behind‑the‑scenes video where he sings part of the chorus and describes the track’s meaning.

“Animal” was released on 24 July, accompanied by a music video that features actress Demi Moore. The song will appear on KATSEYE’s upcoming EP WILD, scheduled for 14 August, and is issued through HYBE and Geffen Records. Sheeran says he films songwriting sessions to avoid future plagiarism accusations, a habit formed after a prior copyright lawsuit that he won.
