Eda and Metin Özülkü release 50th anniversary album

Musicians Eda and Metin Özülkü are celebrating 50 years in the music industry with the release of a special project album titled ‘Eda – Metin Özülkü Şarkıları’. Released under the Poll Production label, the album features 50 songs, many of which were composed by Metin Özülkü.

The project consists of reinterpretations of their hit songs performed by 30 different actors. Notable contributions include Salih Bademci’s rendition of ‘Yürü Ya Kulum’ and Demet Özdemir’s ‘Kime Zarar’. Actress Seda Bakan is also featured in the project with a cover of the 1999 hit ‘Kör Aşık’.

Metin Özülkü, who began his professional career at age seven, noted the importance of ‘genetic heritage’ in music, observing that younger generations are showing significant interest in 90s-era tracks. The couple expressed that the goal of the project is to bring more recognition to their body of work and to maintain their creative energy.
